Waacking is a dance style borned in the african-american queer clubs of the West Coast of the USA during the funk and disco era. It is mainly distinguishable by its rotational arm movements, posing and emphasis on expressiveness.

 

Dorine Mugisha is an international performer and founder of Body Movement.me, promoting diversity in dance, especially for plus-size bodies. Originally Tanzanian, she specializes in Whacking/Punking and has competed in 15+ countries, winning battles in Greece and the UK.
